I have a whole set of these, from 10 pounders to 45 pounders. They are a great fitness aid, as they are immensely portable and can be used in any room of the house, while watching TV, or next to your computer desk. There are a wealth of exercises one can do with simple dumbells: curls, bent rowing, overhead extensions, etc. If you have a bench, there are even more. Believe it or not, a home body builder can get a pretty decent workout from a limited set of these dumbells. They are relatively cheap compared to other brands. I recommend them.

Just like the others, this dumbbell is solidly built, and it feels very even in your hands. The design that keeps it from rolling is very beneficial, since you can put it pretty much anywhere that will support the weight. I think this is a good weight to start with, as it’s a simple way to break into strength training without being too difficult. It’s a particularly nice dumbbell for curls too. Overall, I’m very happy with my purchase.

You already know what you’re getting out of this purchase. It’s a sturdy dumbbell that doesn’t roll at all, which makes it a lot easier to store. The graduation to this from a 20-pound dumbbell feels like a big difference, though. You definitely won’t breeze through this weight if you’re doing some strength training. I wish I could say more about it, aside from the fact that this is the dumbbell to get if you’re looking for a 25-pounder. (Not a lot of bells and whistles to review here.)
