Review by Joshua Gibbs for 4″ Yoga Blocks 4lb (2 Per Pack) Black
Rating:
The blocks are nice, though not the same density as the ones we use in class. This certainly does not hinder my ability to use them and they are still totally functional. My one complaint is that the blocks have a strong chemical smell when they are first opened. I hope that it will go away once they are aired out. Aside from the smell, the blocks are of good quality and the price is excellent. If the smell diminishes, I will be ordering more of these blocks.

I have these blocks in gray, and I’ve found them to be very functional. The are lightweight yet made of a dense foam that is comfortable to use with just a bit of give to it. They also seem slightly larger than most other blocks, plus they are a great value–you get two blocks for less than what other companies charge for just one. Highly recommended for your home yoga practice.

Besides using these for yoga, I’ve found that you can place these under your knees and do push-ups with them. It’s great for those who are struggling to do push-ups in the beginning. It helps you achieve maximum reps in a set. When you get stronger, you can eventually do them without the yoga blocks, and use them for yoga. A real bone saver.

I have looked at this type of block at various sites; these are great and well priced. I am quite pleased with them and they come in black! Why pay more?

I have used these blocks for 2 years now and they have held up well. What you see is what you get, just a black block of hard foam, nothing fancy, but it works perfectly.

I read many reviews before buying a pair of ToeSox. The only reason I am writing this is because I noticed a lot of people had questions about sizing. I found the sizing information on the ToeSox website and have listed the ToeSox sizing (according to the webpage):

XS – 3-5.5
S – 6-8
M – 8.5-10.5

L – 10-12
XL – 12.5-14

I tried these socks even though I thought they were a little pricy. They are great! I have two pair and use them every time I do my Pilates exercises. They grip and do it well. They keep my feet warm, too. They also wash beautifully over and over again. Excellent quality and performance on the floor, mat and foot bar for your investment.

These socks are absolutely the best. I take pilates classes and if it is hot your feet can slip off the mat. (Not good in the middle of a side plank!)Anyway these socks keep your feet planted and dry. One note; make sure not to order them big, the idea is that they should be snug!

numbered not in order of importance.
1) they shrink more than little if you wash them alot in warm water…this is especially a problem when it comes to putting on “your toes”.
2) the cotton is too thin for me and most good organic cotton socks like some of the Maggies line and it seems like it thins and fades too fast after use….more dense soft treated organic cotton needed!!!!!
3) the protective studs are not dense enough to make for a breakthrough in ‘sock technology’.
4) t00 pricey for what they end up becoming.
5) I recommend buying yourself one pair in a size larger if possible, and pick one with color (not white)

I wrote a rave review of these the day I got them. They were absolutely terrific and gave me purchase doing yoga on a slippery rug. However, the next time I wore them for a longer session, they got stretched out. My toes kept falling out of them and they became twisted around my feet and just generally got in the way.
I put on a new pair for another session and when doing any lunges or poses with my legs in a wide stance, they were very uncomfortable.
Oh well. The “concept” is great, but they don’t really work unless you’re doing very little movement. I wish someone would come up with something like this that does the job!
